Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Designotion ("Designotion", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://designotion.com (the "Website") or use our design services (the "Services").

By using the Website or Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. Terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. This includes your email address and contact details, the contents of your design requests and communications with us (for example, through our task board, a connected Slack channel, or email), any brand assets or materials you share with us, and information you provide when booking a call (we use Calendly for scheduling).

Payment information. When you subscribe, payment is handled by PayPal. We receive confirmation of your subscription and limited transaction details, but we do not collect or store your full card or bank account details — those are processed directly by PayPal under its own privacy practices.

Usage data and cookies. When you visit the Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, including via Google Analytics (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Services;

  • communicate with you, respond to requests, and deliver design work;

  • process subscriptions and manage billing (through PayPal);

  • understand how the Website is used and improve it;

  • detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse;

  • send you service-related notices and, where permitted, occasional updates (you can opt out of marketing messages at any time); and

  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors interact with the Website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as your IP address, the pages you visit, and your general usage patterns, and may set or read cookies on your device. This information helps us measure and improve the Website.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). For information about how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

The Website is built and hosted on Framer, which may also process limited technical data necessary to serve and secure the Website.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Services, including with:

  • PayPal, to process subscription payments;

  • Google (Google Analytics), for website analytics;

  • Calendly, when you book a call with us;

  • Slack, where we connect a channel for communication and delivery;

  • Framer, which hosts the Website; and

  • other service providers, professional advisors, or authorities where reasonably necessary, or where required by law or to protect our rights.

These providers process information on our behalf or under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

5. International Data Transfers

Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on the providers' own safeguards and applicable legal mechanisms. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be processed in these locations. Service providers (including PayPal and Google) are based in or transfer data to the United States and other countries.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We retain usage and analytics data for shorter periods, except where a longer period is needed for security, analysis, or legal reasons. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. We honor these rights regardless of where you are located, to the extent applicable.

For visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK, and Albania (GDPR-style rights): you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to or request restriction of processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to request deletion of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@designotion.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the updated Policy on this page. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
